Meet our artist: Helen Nelson

Helen started over 20 years ago painting furniture in her home, where she first realized how much she enjoyed transforming ordinary furniture into something unique. Along the way, she also put her artistic skills to work for upscale antique dealers; repairing and restoring statuary, garden ornamentation and sculptures made of marble, terracotta, stone, porcelain, and more.

HBN Design is her most recent venture, and we believe it’s her true calling. The mission of our family-run company is to repurpose vintage, military materials and give them a new life. We want to bring these items and their stories out of the attic and into the spotlight. We also try to highlight some of the achievements of America’s heroes, so be sure to check out our history blog to learn more.
